We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any data processed through your use of the VYBE mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains our policies regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal and non-personal data when you install, access, or play games in our App.
Key Summary: VYBE does not require mandatory account registration or passwords. We only collect minimal information (such as player nicknames, room lobby IDs, and push notification tokens) strictly necessary to facilitate real-time multiplayer gameplay and game notifications.

Depending on how you interact with VYBE, we may collect and process the following categories of data:

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect solely for functional and operational purposes within the App:
- Multiplayer Game Synchronization: Connecting players via custom room codes and maintaining real-time socket connections for turn-based gameplay.
- Push Notifications: Sending game reminders, invite notifications, or state changes via Google Firebase Messaging when enabled by you.
- Local Preference Storage: Saving your selected theme settings, custom party game rules, and recently used player names on your local device.
- App Maintenance: Identifying crash patterns and debugging network latency issues.
4. Third-Party Services & Firebase
VYBE integrates trusted third-party service providers to power cloud features. These providers process data strictly under privacy standards compliant with Google Play policy:
- Google Firebase (Firestore & Realtime Database): Used to host active multiplayer rooms and match states. Data is stored securely on Google Cloud servers. (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to manage notification tokens for sending push alerts.
- Socket.IO Relay Servers: Self-hosted/relayed WebSocket connections used temporarily for online multiplayer room sync. No persistent chat logs are sold or analyzed.
We do NOT sell, rent, or share any personal data or player nicknames with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data Retention & Security
Session Data: Multiplayer room codes and transient game states are temporary and automatically wiped or overwritten upon game session termination.
Local Data: Local names, player cards, and custom preferences remain on your device in local app storage (`SharedPreferences`) until you clear the app data or uninstall VYBE.
Security: All network communications with Firebase and WebSocket backends are encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS/WSS) protocols.
6. Data Deletion Rights
In accordance with Google Play's User Data Policy, you have full control over your data:
- Clear Local Storage: You can delete all locally stored nicknames and game history at any time by going to your Android device Settings > Apps > VYBE > Storage > Clear Data.
- Request Server Data Removal: Since room sessions are temporary, active lobby data expires automatically. If you wish to request manual deletion of any lingering server identifiers or FCM tokens associated with your device, you may contact us at the support email listed below.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
VYBE is designed as a party game application intended for general audiences aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to our services, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly purge such data from our systems.
